Assignment Tasks

1. DSA Channel Growth Strategy

Context: The top 15 DSAs contribute a majority of the business, but many DSAs are underperforming or inactive. Costs vary across different DSA categories. The goal is to increase the business contribution of lower-performing DSAs, reduce inactivity, and optimize disbursal costs to around 3.25%.

Your Task:

  • Develop a strategy to grow the DSA channel by:
    • Activating underperforming DSAs, especially the 600 who haven't conducted any business in the past 3 months.
    • Incentivizing the mid-tier DSAs (next 100) to contribute more than 15% of the business.
    • Proposing actions to engage the lower-tier DSAs while managing their contribution and costs.
    • Optimizing the disbursal cost structure to 3.25%, balancing business growth and profitability.
  • Outline a clear, actionable plan, including DSA contests, schemes, or other engagement models to motivate the DSAs.

2. Geographical Expansion & Capacity Planning

Context: ABC Enterprises is currently active in 200 cities, with 50% of business from the South, 10% from the East, and 20% each from the West and North. There's an opportunity for geographical growth, especially in underperforming regions.

Your Task:

  • Create a geographical spread strategy to expand ABC Enterprises's presence and increase business in the East and North.
  • Propose a capacity plan: How would you allocate resources (sales team, support staff) to manage this expansion effectively?
  • Suggest contests or schemes to incentivize higher business volumes in these regions.
  • Include a capacity growth plan with resource allocation across geographies for optimal coverage and DSA support.

3. Productivity Benchmarking & Enhancements

Context: The current productivity is ₹30 Lac per person, and the average IRR is 25%. There is room for improvement in both productivity and profitability.

Your Task:

  • Suggest ways to benchmark productivity and set higher targets based on industry standards.
  • Recommend changes to the product construct to improve IRR, customer acquisition, and overall business efficiency.
  • Propose internal team incentives (contests or schemes) to improve productivity and align the team toward achieving the ₹200 Cr goal.

4. Execution Plan

Your Task:

  • Provide a step-by-step execution plan to achieve the ₹200 Cr target by March 2024.
  • Include a timeline with key milestones for each quarter and clear actions to drive growth.
  • Detail how you would allocate resources, including personnel, technology, and management oversight.
  • Describe how management should support your plan with specific actions like training, incentive programs, or process improvements.

5. Tracking Mechanisms, Progress Checks, and Corrective Measures

Your Task:

  • Develop a tracking mechanism to monitor the progress of the business growth strategy.
  • List KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) that will help measure progress toward the ₹200 Cr target.
  • Provide a schedule for progress reviews (weekly/monthly/quarterly) to ensure the team stays on track.
  • Outline corrective measures you would implement if the plan falls behind schedule, including real-time monitoring and intervention strategies.

Deliverables

  • A comprehensive business and execution plan, detailing the DSA growth strategy, geographical expansion, productivity benchmarks, incentive programs, tracking mechanisms, and corrective measures.
  • Any supporting visuals, data, or tools (e.g., Excel sheets, charts) you believe would strengthen your recommendations.
